This are the exact guidelines I gave the staff for judging fights. This is how you will be judged.
We all have to be clear on how to judge fights. It is extremely important that you are as unbiased when judging as possible. Royals are not allowed to judge fights concerning a position for royalty. People would just find more reasons to complain about it being judged unfairly. We will use a point system to make judging as fair as possible. If you judge a fight, you will be expected to go into as much detail as possible about why each participant received their score. Here is what you are to judge on:
Fighting Strategy- 25 points
Does the attacker use realistic moves? Do they power play? Do they use illegal powers? Do they use more than one dodge? Do they do the correct amount of attacks? Do they fight fairly? This should all decide this section of their score. If the player has power played, give them a warning. if they do it again, they are automatically disqualified from the fight. They are also the be disqualified if they do more than 5 attacks, one dodge, or use special powers that are not permitted. [powers are only to be used in fights against royals]
Vocabulary/Quality of Writing - 15 points
Does this role player use advanced vocabulary? Do they use words or phrases that make you feel like you are there? Do they use literary devices? Do they make you feel like you are experiencing what their character is experiencing? Is their post long enough to illustrate their character's actions or emotions? Do they go in depth? This should all go into your decision of how many points they should receive out of the maximum 20 points available.
Style - 5 points
Style is the individuality of a role player's post. Do they use different methods of role playing? For example, do they write it in poetry? Do they use lyrics? Do they have unique sentence structure? Anything that separates their post from an average post, simply describing their character's actions is style. You may give out as many points as you see fit for the role player's style. Please try to be as consistent as possible, meaning you don't give two people who have the same amount of style different scores depending on your mood. 5 points is the maximum a player may receive for this element.
Grammar - 5 points
Is everything spelled correctly? Do they use grammar properly? Grade accordingly.
To get the final score, add up the score from each section you judged. The highest score possible is 50 points. Whomever has the highest score wins. After you have posted the results, lock the thread so that a fight doesn't break out. If someone has an issue with your judging, they may message a staff member about it or bring it up under the updates board.
